Hi I'm Nardine!

An ex-advertising, marketing and communications executive who used to live in the City, but craved cleaner air and wide open spaces. So in 2008 hubby Mark and I moved to the beautiful Ferguson Valley in the south west of Western Australia, where we were surrounded by horses, alpacas, chickens, dogs and one very lazy cat.

Tired of the corporate life (and with a desperate need to unleash my creative side), fate led me to a fictional novel by Vanessa Diffenbaugh called The Language of Flowers. I devoured every single page (twice) and discovered an even greater love of flowers than my Mother and Grandmother had before me.  So I read (more) … I researched … I studied the art of floral design under the tuition of German master florist Iris Pich and before I knew it … Scentiment Flowers began to bloom!

This crazy little business continues to grow and I am astounded every day by the awesome people I get to meet and work with. So what's next? Well … we recently decided to down-size our lives just a little, and we are now in the process of building a beautiful new home and flower studio ‘down the hill’ - still in the Ferguson Valley region, just on a smaller scale. I have grand plans to plant a lot of my own foliage trees and some flowers too. So let’s hope the kangaroos (and alpacas) are kind, and that I can continue to say to my brides … ‘that flower in your bouquet was lovingly grown in my garden!’
